Carlos Enriquez-Gonzalez and “Toy Art” on BBC FOUR
Steve Agin talks about Toy Art at the Philips de Pury NOW auction for the “Man With The Golden Gavel” special on BBC Four. We see lots of our favorites in the clip, including work from Bob Conge, KAWS, Bwana Spoons, and more. Carlos’s “Brain Vagina” is featured, along with a short glimpse of his Astro Boy.
If you’re in the UK, you can view the whole program here. If you’re not, you’re out of luck like us. If anyone has a copy or can get a copy, please contact us at info@toyartgallery.com!
Cris Rose @ Rivet
One of our favorite toy artists, Cris Rose, has his first major U.S. show opening tomorrow night (March 6) at Rivet Gallery in Columbus, OH. Cris is debuting his newest original resin creations Rummage and Rumble alongside his stalwart Observation Drone series and various customs. Check out his work in The Decadence of Decay, along with the work of Amanda Louise Spayd, right here, and check out the show if you’re in the area.
Here’s a great interview with Cris from Andy at TOYSREVIL!

Yoskay Yamamoto
Yoskay Yamamoto came by the gallery today to add some fantastic pieces to our collection. The new work includes three beautiful pearlescent custom Koibitos with scarves, an A/P of his “untitled” wall plaque, and a wonderful multi-piece sculpture entitled “Home is where the Heart is”. Yoskay is as adept at sculpture as he is at painting, and his soft ethereal style translates wonderfully to a three-dimensional medium.
Here’s hoping we’ll see more of Yoskay’s work in the gallery in the near future!
Updated Rotobox collection pictures
Just a few quick pics of our current Rotobox custom collection. New additions include the Real Robot Devastator (6 8″ Qees went into this guy!), and the Celsius-based custom Gatchaman/Gundam/Ninja Gaiden.

New artist profiles and pictures added
Added the following artists’ profiles to the site today. Have a look!
Amanda Visell x Fully Visual Trojan Pegaphunts

We just got in our shipment of Amanda Visell’s newest metal figures from Fully Visual. These are truly beautiful pieces. Amanda’s trademark style is realized to perfection in four unique finishes, and they have a working hinged door to house the five included mini ‘phunts.
Buff Monster visits TAG
Buff Monster came by the gallery today to show off some of his newest customs (which we greedily took for ourselves) and to check out the temporary Buff Monster shelf. He very much liked the space, we very much like Buff Monster, so we may see something cool happen the first quarter of ‘10.
Be sure to check out the store for your chance to grab some of his sweet pieces!
