Chouchou Beige Edition Soft Vinyl Toy by Gary Baseman. Part of the Kaiju For Grown Ups line, edition of 100, stands about 5" tall. Based in Los Angeles Gary Baseman employs art, performance, cinema, and fashion to explore the "beauty of the bittersweetness of life." A traveling show that included hundreds of his paintings, photos, videos, toy and costume designs, and a documentary about his family history called "Mythical Creatures" are among his recent endeavors. He also collaborated with COACH on one project. Baseman's varied career encompasses animation, where he produced the Emmy and BAFTA-winning series and feature film "Teacher's Pet" for ABC/Disney, as well as illustration for publications like The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, and the best-selling board game Cranium. He frequently presents at international conferences on visual communications, graphic and multidisciplinary arts, and other related fields.
