Velasco. They are a husband and wife artistic duo currently living in Guerneville, CA. They make hand sculpted and embellished cast resin figures in various sizes and colors. Their work falls somewhere in between art and toys with an emphasis on peculiar, humorous, and melacholy characters. Martin Ontiveros delves into a variety of innovative issues that span from eerie to bizarre, as well as old Mesoamerican/Mesopotamian motifs and heavy metal images. He had very little formal training, yet he went on to create a very distinctive, evil style and a lucrative business doing everything from record covers and commercial designs to toys and miniatures. His artwork has been shown in galleries around the United States in Barcelona, Biarritz, Mexico City, and Tokyo, as well as in Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, and New York. He has created artwork for Rob Zombie, Mastodon, and Motörhead, among other acts.
