Emilio Garcia is renowned for designing toys that resemble the peculiar architecture found in the human brain. The Skull Brain, Brainade (shaped like a grenade), SpongeBrain (appearing like SpongeBob SquarePants), and Jumping Brain (a brain with frogs' legs) are some of his most well-known sculpture mash-ups. Spanish-born Garcia graduated in 1999 with a degree in graphic design from the Escola d'Art i Disseny de Tarragona. Garcia has given talks at international galleries, toy fairs, and the International Museum of Surgical Science (2013) and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (2011).
