Togegeruge Sofubi Kaiju from Barom One by Medicom

TOGEGERUGE is a large green pod that completely opens up like a door to expose a hideous eye with a meaty crimson interior that is capable of spitting forth a ton of thorns! Sadly, Barom 1 impales Togegeruge on one of his own enormous thorns before punching him off a cliff, causing him to drop to his death and explode.

Chojin Barom One sometimes known as Superhuman Barom 1, is a live-action version of Takao Saito's Japanese manga series. It was released two years after the comic was first published. The two protagonists are Hiroyuki Takano as Gentaro Shiratori and Hiroki Izuka as Takeshi Kido. It aired in Japan for part of 1972.
