British artist Adam Neate is well-known for experimenting with perspective in his three-dimensional collages. In the beginning of his career, Neate left his paintings and assemblages on the streets; today, he exhibits the works in galleries while continuing to work within a distinctively contemporary Cubist aesthetic he calls "dimensionalism." His work combines conventional mark-making and construction techniques with materials and approaches from street art. Neate, who was born in Colchester, England, in 1977, studied graphic design while also learning how to paint and sculpt on his own. His pieces were first scattered about Ipswich before moving to London in the late 1990s. Neate is presently based between Brighton, England, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he works.
